If the Arczuuk are the brawn of the Zohar System, the V’nu are undoubtedly the brains. Hailing from the breathtaking ringed planet of Aeolus, the V’nu are a civilization of unrivaled beauty and terrifying intellect. But behind their lush forests and lavender oceans lies a society driven by a cold, calculating pursuit of perfection.
Here is your guide to the V’nu Fellowship.
Geography & Atmosphere
Home World: Aeolus (4th Planet from Zohar) Capital: Somnus (Continent of Eurydice)
Aeolus is widely considered the most beautiful planet in the system. Approaching travelers are greeted by mesmerizing planetary rings and a surface carpeted in lush green grass and towering, fluffy trees.
-
The Landscape: Deep valleys channel rivers into lavender-toned oceans. Flowers of every color blanket the surface.
-
The Moons: The planet controls seven moons, including the S'erebus Trinity (S'erebus I, II, & III), which were the first off-world colonies established by the V'nu.
-
The Sacred Region: In the southwest lies Soporifus, a massive, sacred forest filled with vibrant Zylonus Spireaeva trees. This is no ordinary forest; it is a graveyard. When a V’nu dies, they are buried here to nourish the earth, eventually "becoming" one of the great trees.
Politics: The Rule of Intellect
The V’nu government, known as The Fellowship, is a strict meritocracy. It is not about who you know, but what you know.
The Legate & The Leader The government is led by Khura Ym’ue and a body of 100 accomplished scientists known as The Legate. They believe they comprehend the "optimal path" for all civilization.
-
The "No Attachment" Rule: To ensure pure logic in decision-making, individuals in high leadership positions are prohibited from marrying. While some form secret bonds, these are illegal and scandalous if discovered.
The Class Hierarchy V’nu society is ruthlessly competitive. Your social standing is determined by your academic testing:
-
The Top 10%: Eligible for Government roles.
-
The Middle 50%: Eligible to vote and hold "white-collar" non-labor jobs.
-
The Bottom 40%: Relegated to labor-intensive jobs, which carry a heavy social stigma.
History: The Hidden Agenda
The V’nu were the first race in the system to achieve interstellar travel, fueled by the discovery of ancient artifacts in the Keenluma Crystals region. This discovery birthed an obsession: The V’nu believe these ancient relics hold the key to ultimate power.
The Betrayal of the Arczuuks This obsession led to the V'nu's darkest hour. They formed an alliance with the Arczuuks and offered to terraform the moon Nepion.
-
The Secret: The terraforming was a cover story; the V’nu were actually mining for relics buried in the moon's core.
-
The Disaster: A miscalculation caused the moon to explode, raining debris onto the Arczuuk home world.
-
The Cover-Up: To save face and end the subsequent war, the Fellowship blamed their own General, executing him for "negligence" to appease the Arczuuks.
Prominent Figures
Khura Ym'ue (High Leader)
-
Role: Leader of the Fellowship.
-
Personality: Unshakable, precise, and intellectually dominant. She has fostered a culture where academic superiority outweighs moral empathy. She was chosen to lead after the war to enforce order.
Morael Jedlk (The Emissary)
-
Role: Emissary to the Union.
-
Motivation: An older, visionary perfectionist who is obsessed with artifact collection
Culture, Flora & Fauna
Daily Life Crime and hunger are nonexistent, but stress is high. Children are raised in an environment of intense sibling rivalry, where parental affection is often rationed based on academic success.

-
